Welcome!

My name is Jenny Dooley. I’m a Certified Spiritual Director and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I offer my services through New Life Counseling Center PLLC located in Gig Harbor WA, USA.

This website primarily serves to support those seeking spiritual direction. I consider it an honor to come along side others who desire to explore and deepen their relationship with God. I hope what I share here will be a blessing and encouragement to your faith journey.

I love to listen and behold the image of God in others. I look forward to hearing how I might support you.

While I provide spiritual direction and counseling they serve distinct purposes and are offered separately.

In spiritual direction I offer space to accompany you as you explore your relationship with God. I believe all life experiences, whether difficult, joyful, or the simple ordinary moments of daily living, present opportunities to encounter and deepen our relationship with God. No topic is off limits as we listen for God’s Spirit at work in your life and our world. I look forward to creating a warm and hospitable environment for you to experience the generous welcome of God and rest in your beloved identity.

As a counselor, I come along side clients for specific social-emotional and mental health challenges. I specialize in women’s issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, relational trauma, and life transitions. I use emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, mindfulness-based, and trauma informed therapies to address mental health concerns. I enjoy exploring your strengths as you navigate your current season. As a Christ-follower, I bring a prayerful and integrative approach to the counseling process.

About Me: I’m married to my beloved husband Eric, mom to five amazing adults and their spouses, and grandma to eight delightful grandchildren. I had the great pleasure to serve in Southeast Asia for twenty-eight years and currently split my time between Gig Harbor, WA and Southeast Asia. Over the years, I’ve found joy and purpose in making my home a safe haven not only for my family but for countless friends and guests. I enjoy hosting small gatherings in person and online where we can listen to one another and grow in the grace and love of God. Creating safe spaces for others to be seen, heard, and known is especially important to me.

Education: I completed a BASW in Social Work from the University of Washington (1985), a M.Ed in Counseling from the University of Puget Sound (2012), an MA in Spiritual Formation (2020), Spiritual Direction Certification, (2021), and a DLd Doctor of Leadership in Global Perspectives at George Fox University-Portland Seminary (2025).
